The Gospel is moving forward

Thought this was a really cool way to end any show.

Twitter Blog

  Twitter

So this last week there was something that has never happened, but has happened a million times.  Now, I know you are thinking that maybe I have been changing too many of Taylor’s diapers, but hold on for a second.  There is a service called ‘Twitter’ that has come on the scene as of late and is a way for people to leave posts about what they are doing at exact moments throughout the day - so their friends can see and ‘experience’ life with them?!?.  It is becoming very popular and although I have not added this to my life, I have battled with the thought of it and have also in the same breath said, ‘never!’  Well, back to the original statement, I read an article just today that spoke about how someone proposed to his girlfriend on Twitter and a flood of emotions went through my mind. One of those things to me is that I am a face to face guy and love being in the moment.   When I proposed to Rachel, I loved seeing my bride’s face, getting down on one knee, hearing her words “oh my goodness, no way, oh my goodness, no way………yes”, and the experience of all that was there that made it for me.  I realize we are in a changing world. I realize we change because we have the tools to make it easy. I also know that change is good…but is it for this? (Well thankfully it is not my world, it’s a fun story and the woman did say, ‘yes!’ so viva la marriage!)  What is my point? Well I am glad you asked.  Experiencing life together is wonderful, painful, fun, hard, and worth our effort.  I believe Jesus modeled a this wonderfully in His life by simply living, His time with the disciples, with familiar friends, with random strangers, and with us.  Don’t settle for life via the information super highway, text, or email. Reach out and spend time with one another face to face.

Ya so this last weekend was Easter…so what did you find yourself doing?  Maybe you slept, maybe you got up and went to church, did you sleep in church?  Did you find that church was not at bad as you thought it might be? Did you have a special dinner with your family?  Let me know what Easter is to you and what you think it means in your words.

Hope you had a good time with your couple of days off, see ya on Wednesday.

Thought you might like a bit o variety on the web-page. I thought this was a good substitute for Carrie Underwood’s version of ‘Jesus Take the Wheel.’

Enjoy,

$25 in my wallet!

So I have $25 in my wallet that is a gift certificate for the Family Thrift Center.  I am mucho mucho excited about it as I can finally buy some ‘Vernors’ which is a ginger ale that I really like.  It is so crazy expensive and it is nice when it is a treat, so look out FTC.  Ya that really sounds kinda dorky, but I know there are things that you probably like.  What is someone told you that you couldn’t have a energy drink, kfc snack pack, or whatever.  I am grateful for what I have and can get when I have the extra money, so thanks JH hoops team for this chance.

Indeed He does!  Just like we talked about this last week in youth and from what it shares about that in Jeremiah 29:11 (OT).  “God has a plan for us, a hope and a future.”  We have to be willing to seek Him and follow His ways, but wow what a thought that someone has taken the time to give us some guidance.
